NORTH & SOUTH COURSE
SUSTAINABILITY HIGHLIGHTS
Turfgrass Innovation
Sodded with drought-tolerant Santa Ana Bermuda Hybrid, which goes dormant in the winter, minimizing water usage while creating superior year-round playability.
Sandcapping
Capped all 36 holes with 6-12 inches of sand (240,000 tons) for superior water retention, drainage, and longevity.
Retention Ponds
Significantly enlarged to capture stormwater on the property and surrounding community to mitigate flood risk and to store it on-site for golf course irrigation.

Irrigation Network
Installed 70 miles of pipe to pump water from retention ponds to 7,650 sprinkler heads for targeted micro-irrigation only where it is needed.
Bunkers
Revetted with Oakland Roots Soccer Club and Oakland Raiders old athletic field turf.
Cart Paths
Built with 750 tons of biodegradable, upcycled walnut shells.
Tee Markers
Crafted from on-site fallen trees, lost during winter storms.
Wildlife
Removed exotics & incorporated native keystone plants to nurture habitat for 103 species of identified birds, pollinators and other wildlife.
