EVENT DETAILS & INFORMATION

About the program

The Do Good Corica (DGC) Middle School Golf Programs, a partnership between Greenway Golf and Do Good Sports Club offer young golfers the unique opportunity to improve their game, while also instilling important life values. Our supportive community ensures that every participant feels valued, learns to work effectively as part of a team, and carries the principles of fairness and respect both on and off the green.

Why Focus on Middle School?

Middle school is a critical turning point for young athletes. Statistically, this is when many kids walk away from sports, but we are here to change that:

  • Keep Kids in the Game: 70% of children stop playing sports by age 13.

  • Breaking Barriers: Low-income youth are six times more likely to quit sports before middle school due to high costs.

  • Bridging the Gap: While golf is often cited as having a lack of local teams, DGC provides an affordable path to competitive play.

  • Building a Foundation: Tournament experience before high school creates a clear path to higher-level competition, but these opportunities are often limited or overpriced.
