North Course Project Updates

North Course Construction: Designing for Climate Resilience


OCTOBER 2024



COMPLETED WORK

  • Holes 13, 14, 16, 17, and 18 completed. (August & September 2024)


SITE WORK

  • HOLES 10 & 11 (October 2024)

    • Work is essentially complete. Final tee box work will be completed in October.

  • HOLES 12 & 15 (October & November 2024)

    • Work has commenced on both holes and will be completed by November.

  • FINISHING WORK (October to December)

    • Additional landscaping and final touches will be completed in December.

  • COMPLETION (December 2024)

    • Remain on track for December 2024 completion.

    • Full play will start a few months following, depending on the winter weather.

AUGUST 2024



PERMITS

  • Irrigation and grading on the remaining 7 holes has commenced.

SITE WORK

  • HOLES 12-18 (August to December)

    • Work on the remaining 7 holes will last 5 months, starting with holes 16 & 17: August to December.

  • SODDING (September to December)

    • Sodding will take place as holes are finished, with the last holes (14 and 15) completed in December.

  • FINISHING WORK (October to December)

    • Additional landscaping and final touches will take place during the fourth quarter and will be completed in December.

  • COMPLETION (December 2024)

    • Remain on track for December 2024 completion.

    • Full play will start a few months following, depending on the winter weather.

MARCH 2024



PERMITS

  • The final permit with updated FEMA flood zone regulations was approved on March 25.

PREPARATION

  • The design and construction team, including the contractor and shaper are mobilizing over the next six weeks.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Irrigation and grading on the remaining 7 holes are scheduled to begin in early May.

FLOOD MITIGATION

  • We will continue to work with Public Works on upgrading existing infrastructure for stormwater retention.

SITE WORK

  • HOLES 12-18 (May to August)

    • Work on the remaining 7 holes will last 4 months, starting with holes 16 & 17.

  • SODDING (August to September)

    • Sodding will follow and last 2 months.

  • FINISHING WORK (September to December)

    • Additional landscaping and final touches will take place during the fourth quarter of the year.

  • COMPLETION (December 2024)

    • The project remains on track for a December 2024 completion.

OCTOBER 2023



DESIGN

  • The design team has selected a shaper and is ready to begin shaping once the permit renewal is secured.

SITE WORK

  • Newly sodded holes 10 & 11 are settling in nicely.

PERMITS

  • City's Public Works Department will be reviewing our submission for permit renewal with updated FEMA flood zone regulations.

  • We anticipate permit approval by year-end.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Irrigation & grading work on holes 12-18 scheduled to start SPRING 2024 after permits are re-issued and any inclement weather clears.

STORM MANAGEMENT

  • We continue to work with the City's Public Works Department to clean, replace, and upgrade drainage culverts in preparation for the future storms.

  • We will continue to study site hydrology and co-design critical flood management solutions with the City as part of our comprehensive storm management plan.

COMPLETION

  • Remain on track for a DECEMBER 2024 completion.

AUGUST 2023



DESIGN

  • RTJII design work near completion.


SITE WORK

  • Holes 10 & 11: Sodding complete

  • Holes 12-18: Prep work underway


REPAIRS

  • Main line drainage & culverts under repair in various spots.


PERMITTING

  • Awaiting permit approval to meet updated FEMA flood zone regulations.


HYDROLOGY STUDY

  • Working with the City's Public Works Department to study site hydrology and co-design critical flood management solutions.


LOOKING AHEAD

  • Irrigation & grading work on holes 12-18 scheduled to start Spring 2024 after permits are re-issued and hydrology study is complete.


COMPLETION

  • On track for WINTER 2024 completion.
