EVENT DETAILS & INFORMATION
The Alameda DGC (Do Good Corica) Middle School Golf League is back in January! Our Winter 2025 Clinic Series is a no cost program designed for beginner middle school golfers.
This winter season league is a collaboration between Greenway Golf and Do Good Sports Club and is led by Alameda High's former golf coach, Nick Wolf.
The Do Good Corica (DGC) Middle School Golf Programs are a collaboration between Greenway Golf and Do Good Sports Coub and offer young golfers the unique opportunity to improve their game, while also instilling important life values. Our supportive community ensures that every participant feels valued, learns to work effectively as part of a team, and carries the principles of fairness and respect both on and off the green.
Why Middle School?
70% of kids stop playing sports at age 13. (National Alliance for Youth Sports)
Low-income youth are six times more likely to quit sports before middle school due to costs. (Aspen Institute)
The average age juniors stop playing golf regularly is 11.8. (Aspen Institute)
Tournament experience before high school creates a path to compete at a higher level, but opportunities for competitive play before high school are limited and typically expensive.
Among the 20+ sports included in a recent Aspen Institute parent survey, golf ranked highest for lack of local teams as a barrier to play.
