Updated: Jan 8

As we bid farewell to 2025, we're revving up for an exciting year ahead. Read on to see what's in store for 2026! We will be sharing personal stories, expert interviews, updates, and results of our work throughout the year. Sign up for our mailing list and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube to stay informed.

January-March

Four panels with text on a dark background: January "Regenerative Landscape", February "Beyond the Bag", March "First Fridays Are Back!", and "MIF Reopening". Each has icons and hashtags.

We're excited to welcome our new sustainability manager, Marla Lee, to the team in January. She will be working on regenerating our nonplayable spaces with new habitat to increase bird, plant, and pollinator biodiversity, enhancing both visual appeal and ecological function.

In our continuing efforts to create opportunities for youth through golf, training for our new caddie program, Beyond the Bag, begins in February. The program will provide youth with mentorship, paid work experience, and access to long-term educational and professional opportunities on the golf course and beyond.

Join us on the First Friday of every month starting in March at the range for food, drink, and fun! Delicious bites, a stocked bar, lively music, and friendly competition await. Check out our Calendar of Events for details, and see you there! Also, be on the lookout for additional food and beverage offerings later in the year.

The Mif reboot is almost complete. Reopening is planned for the end of March. Get ready to play brand new grass tee boxes, refurbished fairways, faster rolling greens... and some fun surprises. Stay tuned.

April-July

Four panels with text on a dark background: April "Commuters Tournament", April "New Collabs", May "Women's Golf Day Celebration", and June-July "World Cup Festivities". Each has icons and hashtags.

The historic Alameda Commuters Golf Tournament will return in April for its 98th year. The Championship Division will feature a 54-hole, 3-day competition played on both North and South courses. Registration opens on January 15th. Compete or come out and watch some of the best amateur golfers in the nation.

We love working with the talented, mission-aligned designers we have cultivated relationships with, all bringing a fresh, new perspective to golf apparel. In April, we will be launching limited-edition collaborations with some of our favorites. Stay tuned for more details so you can grab your new gear before it sells out.

One of our favorite events of 2025 is back in May! We'll be hosting our second annual Women's Golf Day Scramble in partnership with the Golden Bay Women's Golf Club. Check out the club's other events at Corica Park throughout the year, designed to create a welcoming community for women of all skill levels. Learn more to get involved.

The World Cup is coming to Corica Park! ⚽🎉 Join us in June and July for viewing opportunities, fun contests, and more. Cheer on your favorites, test your skills, and celebrate the game with the community. Stay tuned for details.

August-December

Event posters arranged in a grid. Each month from August to December features different activities. Dark backgrounds with white text and icons.

Golf’s ultimate charitable challenge-the Youth On Course 100 Hole Hike comes to Corica Park in August. Come out to take on the challenge of playing 100 holes of golf, all in an effort to help ensure young people have affordable access to golf and the life-changing opportunities that come with playing the sport. Registration details will be available later in the year.

After re-designing hole 18 in 2025, South Course architect, the esteemed Rees Jones, will revisit other parts of his design in September. Eight years since the course was completed, he will be making additional refinements to enhance the playing experience.

Efforts to reimagine Corica Park as a true community hub will continue in 2026. After expanding our reach to more than 100 new schools, small businesses, and nonprofits over the last five years, 2026 will be a year to focus on deepening relationships with our amazing community partners. We will explore partnerships for ongoing wellness activities at the course, work with local businesses and artists for new offerings and programming and engage with our many no-cost program participants to explore ways to deepen impact of our work.

The 4Vets Shotgun Scramble will return in November. A partnership of Kids4Good, Greenway Golf, PGA Hope, and Youth on Course, this special day brings junior golfers and U.S. veterans together to connect, share stories, and honor service through the game of golf.  Don't miss this powerful celebration of service, mentorship, and community.

What is your wishlist for Corica Park? Be on the lookout for opportunities to share your voice with Corica Park Open Space Project. Our Community Engagement Director, Tamara Sabella, will continue connecting with golfers and local residents for feedback. We'll tally up your votes and roll out a "fan favorite" by December. Last year's feedback resulted in new grass tee boxes for the Mif, so don't miss your chance to share. Find Tamara at the course and complete or online survey.
